A year ago, when Hudson River Film & Video learned of a violence prevention project in the San Francisco County Jail where the re-arrest rate for violent crimes dropped by 80% after only four months of intense immersion in the program, we decided to investigate this remarkable claim.  Twelve hours a day, six days a week, men convicted of violent offenses are involved in what is said to be the first restorative justice project of its kind -- RSVP: Resolve to Stop the Violence Project. The documentary focuses on nine men of diverse ethnicities as they engage one another in deeply emotional encounter groups, including one following a Victim Impact session, then follows the men when they return to their communities.
